Jesus Comforts Troubled Hearts
John 14:1-3

His COMMANDMENTS: Believe in Me – Vs. 1

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.”

His ASSURANCE: God has a house – Vs. 2
“In My Father’s house are many mansions. . .”

His DEPARTURE: Goes to Prepare – Vs. 2
“. . . I go to prepare a place for you.”

Goes to the cross to pay our sin debt
Goes to be raised from the dead
Goes into heaven to prepare access into God’s presence

His GREAT PROMISE: His would return – Vs. 3

“If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again. . .”

He comes for us in death
He comes for us in His return

His GREAT PURPOSE: An eternal reunion – Vs. 3
“ . . . and receive you to Myself; that were I am, there you may be also.”
