Bill Kuykendall

In October of 1988, Brother Kuykendall accepted the senior pastorate of Calvary Baptist Church. He and his wife Teresa moved from Ozark, Arkansas, where he had served as pastor of Calvary Baptist Church for eighteen years.

He graduated from the Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock, Arkansas, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Bible Languages. He joined the faculty at Texas Baptist Institute & Seminary in Henderson, Texas in 1989 and serves as vice-president. He teaches the subjects of Bible Geography, Church Growth, Christian Leadership, Ministerial Practicalities, Pastoral Leadership, Personal Evangelism, and the Book of James. Pastor Kuykendall has received a Master of Theology Diploma and a Doctor of Theology Diploma from the Texas Baptist Institute & Seminary.

Bro. Bill and Mrs. Teresa have been married for 49 years. They have two married sons, Mark and Eric, both of whom are Baptist ministers. They have one daughter, Bethany, who is married to a Baptist minister. They have twelve grandchildren: Kylee, Marcus, Ufayse, Pearson, Parker, Libby, Alex, Conner, Micah, Hudson and Elijah Miles & Josey in Heaven.

On April 30, 2020, Bro. Bill passed the pastoral baton to the sixth pastor of Calvary, Bro. Luke Brown.  He will continue to serve on staff as associate pastor and will assist the new senior pastor.
