Steve Butler

Steve Butler joined the staff at Calvary in 1975 as Associate Pastor of Music. He and his wife Monty moved to Henderson from their home state of Arkansas after completing studies at Ouachita Baptist University where he received a Bachelor of Music Education degree. He holds both Master and Doctor of Theology degrees from Texas Baptist Institute & Seminary in Henderson where he serves as Dean of Instruction, as well as music instructor and counseling instructor. Steve also earned his Master of Arts in Religion from the Baptist Missionary Association Theological Institute in Jacksonville. Monty is a retired school teacher from the Henderson Independent School District.

They are blessed with three sons: Gyce and wife Ashley, Drew and wife Teris, and Ryan and wife Marlana. He has four grandchildren: Haley, Boston, Taylor, and Bailee. His responsibilities at Calvary include worship leadership, graded choir program, orchestra leadership, hand bells, as well as church administration and pastoral duties.
